Description
Modern office silverware is the type of cutlery that we use today. It was invented in France by a French silversmith named Loomi Maloomi Boulanger in 1810. He designed the first modern silverware for his wife, Marie-Antoinette.
His design included forks and spoons with curved tines and bowls with straight sides, which were very different from the traditional flatware used at that time. The original pieces were made of sterling silver but they have been replaced over time by other metals such as nickel, stainless steel, and plastic.
